Howard Johannssen Aviation Safety Award
Presented to PASS members that exemplify professionalism and display dedication to the aviation profession and the flying public through quick thinking and expertise in their field during a crisis or stressful situation. Award winners may show a willingness to improvise when options are limited and make decisions that save lives or have the potential to do so. The Howard Johannssen Safety Awards are named after the founder and first president of PASS.

Presented to the members or chapters that best exhibit an extraordinary commitment to safety, health and the wellbeing of others. These individuals had a major impact on safety at the workplace and are dedicated to improving safety for all PASS members. The recipients of these awards go above and beyond assisting others and ensuring safety.
