On February 3, Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee introduced his version of the FAA reauthorization legislation, the Aviation Innovation, Reform, and Reauthorization (AIRR) Act (H.R.4441). As PASS expected, the legislation includes language to privatize the air traffic control system by separating the Air Traffic Organization into a private corporation. PASS continues to strongly oppose any legislation that privatizes this country's air traffic control system.
