As PASS members know, PASS has partnered with the FAA and NATCA to promote a healthier work environment, including tips and advice on how to stay Fully Charged. One way to stay healthy and alert—and, in this case, win prizes—is to take part in the FAA’s Step Into Sports Challenge.
The challenge is part of CafeWell, a free resource offered by the FAA that allows employees to privately and securely develop their own personal health programs and get rewarded for doing so. By registering with CafeWell, members have access to a variety of resources and tools to provide assistance on the journey to a healthier and fitter lifestyle.
The Step Into Sports Challenge is an agency-wide initiative that starts July 20. The challenge is touted as a fun and easy way to get healthier while discovering new sports, including surfing, sailing, baseball, soccer, running and cycling.
So, how does the challenge work? Simply follow these steps to get started—and to get healthier!
1. Start a team! Form teams of four to 10 colleagues.
2. Visit www.magellanhealth.com/member. If you have not done so previously, use your program’s toll-free number (800-234-1327) to register and login.
3. Click on the “Health and Welnness” tab, then on “Get Started” on the “Stay Healthy With CafeWell” page.
4. Once fully logged into CafeWell, join the Step Into Sports program.
CafeWell allows you to track your progress and steps through its new mobile app. Teams will target step goals each week. Each participant on the winning team will receive a $100 gift card. And $50 gift cards will be awarded to 20 individual participants chosen at random from those who meet their step goal every week. The six-week program begins on July 20 and runs through August 30. You can find even more information on the challenge here.
Get started with CafeWell and the Step Into Sports Challenge today! And be sure to keep PASS updated on your progress. Good luck!
