PASS Statement on End of Government Shutdown

Professional Aviation Safety Specialists, AFL-CIO (PASS), National President Mike Perrone released the following statement regarding the end of the two-week government shutdown.

“After 16 days of a needless and avoidable government shutdown, tonight Congress passed legislation that will put critical aviation safety employees at the FAA back to work and provide backpay for furloughed workers. PASS extends a debt of gratitude to FAA employees who served the flying public over the last 16 days without pay and we urge Congress to work together to address this country's budget in a manner that does not put dedicated public servants in the middle.”
