Results of PASS National Election

Today, PASS is announcing the results of the election of the union's national leaders. A runoff election is required for the office of national president. Of the three candidates making a bid for national

president, a runoff will take place between incumbent Tom Brantley and current National Vice President Mike Perrone. In accordance with the PASS Constitution, a runoff must be declared when no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the votes cast.

Richard Casey, current president of PASS's Illinois chapter and PASS member since 2003, was elected as the national vice president. Casey joined the FAA in 1999 as a technician and currently works at the Chicago Program Support Center. He has served as president of the PASS Illinois Chapter since 2009 and chair of PASS's National Organizing Committee since 2011. He also serves as contract representative for his district. Previously, Casey acted as regional member of PASS's National Legislative Committee and district representative.

The election results for the remaining positions on the PASS Executive Board are as follows: Running unopposed in reelection campaigns were Luke Drake, Region I vice president; Dave Spero, Region II vice president; Dennis Cherwinski, Region III vice president; and Bob Abbott, Region V vice president. In a contested race, Linda Goodrich, Region IV vice president, won reelection. All elected officers not subject to a runoff election will assume their offices for three-year terms on October 1, 2012.
