Voters Are Clear: “Don’t Privatize Air Traffic Control”

Last week, a new poll revealed that the majority of voters oppose plans to privatize the air traffic control system. The survey, which was released on September 17 by the Alliance for Aviation Across America, the League of Rural Voters and Air Care Alliance, indicated that 55 percent of voters surveyed are against a Republican plan that would privatize the air traffic control system.

PASS Vice President at NHCFAE Annual Conference

On July 28, PASS National President Rich Casey attended the 2015 National Hispanic Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NHCFAE) Annual Conference in Atlanta. This annual conference is a gathering of NHCFAE members representing every level of the agency from entry-level employees to senior-level executives. The conference consists of training, career and skill advancement sessions, presentations, and discussions on a variety of topics of importance to FAA employees.

PASS Team Keeps Data Comm on Track

Data Communications, or Data Comm, is a foundational program within the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) and is slated to go IOC (Initial Operating Capability) on August 7, 2015, at Salt Lake City. In May, PASS President Michael Perrone visited Newark to attend a press conference with Michael Huerta to discuss the importance of this program to achieve NextGen benefits.
